Wrestling Shoes and Boxing Shoes: How to Compare Ring and Kabaddi
Share
By SEGASTORE. Product comparisons below use the specifications listed on our product pages. Check the selected size and colour for current availability.
Start with the shoe's stated sport and your club's footwear requirements. Boxing and wrestling both involve controlled footwork, but that does not make every high-top shoe interchangeable. The model's intended use and the surface you train on matter more than its appearance.
Ring and Kabaddi have different product descriptions
| Model | Published details | Buying check |
|---|---|---|
| SEGA QUIVE Ring | Listed for indoor wrestling and boxing; high-top profile, breathable mesh, canvas lining and rubber outsole | Confirm your ring, mat or training surface permits the footwear |
| SEGA QUIVE Kabaddi | Breathable mesh upper, lightweight construction and flexible high-top profile; kabaddi-focused description | Read the stated use and confirm suitability with your coach or venue |
The collection label is a browsing aid. For a boxing-specific shortlist, start with Ring's explicit boxing description. Do not infer that Kabaddi is approved for a particular boxing event just because it appears alongside combat-sport shoes.
Check competition rules separately
Training approval and competition approval are different questions. Ask the organiser about footwear restrictions for your event, including the surface and fastening requirements. SEGASTORE does not claim governing-body approval for these models unless an individual product page expressly provides verified information.
Read our boxing shoe checklist for a practical review of intended use, fastening and care before ordering.
High-top coverage is one feature
A higher upper provides more coverage around the ankle. It does not establish a wider fit, prove greater protection, or remove the need to assess the shoe on your own foot. Compare the images and material details with the feel you prefer when training.
Mesh and lining descriptions tell you about construction; they are not a substitute for trying the shoe on. Check whether the fastening closes comfortably, whether the heel stays secure, and whether the upper puts pressure on the top or sides of your foot.
Fit before the first session
Ring and Kabaddi are listed as standard width. Select the UK size shown on the product page and wear your training socks when trying the pair on. If you use an insole or support, include it in the fit assessment rather than assuming it will fit later.
Try footwear on a clean indoor surface and keep the outsole unmarked while deciding. Check for toe pressure, repeated heel movement and uncomfortable restriction. Stop if the pair causes discomfort; do not use a full training session as a break-in test.
Use our size and fit guide for measurements and review the current delivery and returns policy.
Keep indoor footwear ready for use
Follow the model's cleaning directions and allow shoes to dry naturally. Keep soles clean for indoor use and inspect worn or damaged areas before training. Avoid direct heat and cleaning methods that the product instructions do not permit.
Eligible sports footwear has a six-month voluntary warranty, subject to fair use and the stated terms, with registration required within 30 days of purchase. Read the warranty registration and claims information; normal wear and unsuitable use are treated differently from manufacturing faults.
